Two new varieties awarded by AGRS 2025 testing program

Our partner Star Roses and Plants has announced two Meilland varieties won awards from the 2025 American Garden Rose Selections (AGRS) test program, and here they are:

Blushing DRIFT® Meifranjin

Blushing DRIFT® Meifranjin – a Regional Choice Winner in all six regions. This variety displays double pink flower clusters with a warm, yellow center. Its compact size, disease resistance and heavy blooming make it a reliable landscape choice

RUBY RED® Meizilena

RUBY RED® Meizilena a Regional Choice Winner in four regions: North Central, Northwest, South Central, and Southwest. This variety is a compact rose that blooms heavily. The flower color is dark red and non-fading against dark green, glossy foliage

As a reminder, the AGRS program evaluates rose varieties over a two-year period in gardens across 6 regions of the United States. Roses are judged on criteria such as disease resistance, beauty, fragrance, and adaptation to varied climates, in order to recommend the best for each region.
